Equipment Lease Agreement – Rentmaster.lk

This Equipment Lease Agreement (“Lease”) is entered into and made effective upon the Lessee’s acceptance by clicking “I agree, submit this order” on the Rentmaster.lk platform. By doing so, the user (“Lessee”) agrees to all terms outlined below. Rentmaster.lk (“Lessor”) reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time.

1. Disclaimer

While we strive to provide accurate descriptions and prices, Rentmaster.lk reserves the right to correct any errors. Prices and equipment availability are subject to change without notice.

2. Lease Terms

Lessor leases to Lessee the equipment listed in the checkout section (“Equipment”).

3. Delivery & Shipping

  • Lessee agrees to pay both delivery and return shipping fees unless otherwise agreed.

  • Delivery dates and times are estimates only.

  • Any use of shipping methods not arranged by Rentmaster.lk is a breach of this agreement and may result in penalties.

4. Rental Duration

The lease term begins either on the scheduled rental start date or upon the first attempted delivery. The term ends on the last day stated in the order. Equipment must be returned on or before the final rental day.

5. Rental Payment

Full payment for the rental and any required deposit must be completed before dispatch.

6. Late Returns

  • Late returns incur a daily penalty of 25% of the 4-day rental rate.

  • If not returned within 7 days, the equipment will be considered stolen.

  • Lessor may charge the replacement value to Lessee’s payment method and pursue legal action if necessary.

7. Usage

Lessee agrees to use the Equipment responsibly and in accordance with local laws.

8. Lessor’s Right to Cancel

Rentmaster.lk reserves the right to cancel any order at any time prior to dispatch.

9. Lessee’s Right to Cancel

Lessee may cancel the order anytime before the Equipment is dispatched. Post-dispatch cancellations are not permitted.

10. Ownership

All rented equipment remains the exclusive property of Rentmaster.lk. Lessee has no ownership rights.

11. Equipment Condition & Repairs

  • Lessee is responsible for maintaining the Equipment.

  • Modifications are prohibited.

  • Any damage not reported within 24 hours of delivery is assumed to have occurred during the rental.

  • Lessor selects the repair method and venue.

  • Lessee is responsible for reasonable repair costs and cleaning fees where applicable.

12. Lost or Unreturned Equipment

  • Lessee bears full risk of loss or theft.

  • Unreturned items after 7 days are deemed lost.

  • Replacement costs will be charged to the Lessee’s account.

13. Default

In the event of default, all outstanding charges become immediately due. Lessor may seek civil or criminal remedies.

14. Damage Protection Plan (Optional)

If purchased, Rentmaster.lk offers limited damage protection:

  • Covers damage from normal use up to 10% of replacement value or actual repair cost.

  • Excludes damage from negligence, water, or abuse.

15. Loss Protection Plan (Optional)

If purchased, Rentmaster.lk offers limited protection for loss or theft:

  • Lessee’s maximum liability limited to 10% of replacement value for specified causes (fire, theft, etc.).

  • Valid documentation must be provided.

16. Missing Accessories

Lessee is fully liable for replacement of any missing accessories (caps, hoods, bags, etc.).

17. Liability

Rentmaster.lk is not liable for damages resulting from use or malfunction. Lessee assumes all liability.

18. Delays & Malfunctions

Rentmaster.lk is not liable for consequential damages from delays or equipment failure. Refunds are limited to the non-functional period.

19. Taxes & Duties

Lessee agrees to bear all taxes or duties levied during the rental period.

20. Ownership Confirmation

All content created using the equipment remains Lessee’s property. Rentmaster.lk claims no rights over such content.

21. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.
